For Department of Defense (DoD) Military clients:

Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency (DHA) Joint Trauma System (JTS) to teach evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield. Upon completion of this course, the student will be familiar with how to effectively employ the DoD issued Joint First Air Kit (JFAK) and works to provide commanders with an emergency response force multiplier.

Head Hunter Tactical LLC (HHT) currently offers two levels of TCCC courses which can be custom tailored to fit your organizations needs.

TCCC-ASM (TCCC All Service Members – Tier 1) is a 7-hour didactic course for all service members and is mandatory for all DoD personnel. Additional hands on simulation is available and highly recommended to facilitate student retention of the content discussed.
TCCC-CLS (TCCC Combat Lifesaver – Tier 2) is a 40-hour course required by the DoD for non-medical military personnel deploying in support of combat operations. The course is delivered through didactic instruction and hands on training. Upon completion of the lecture and hands on skills labs, a custom tailored culminating exercise will be conducted to encourage retention of the valuable knowledge transfer to the students.

Non-military customers:

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care course is tailored toward civil clients such as law enforcement officers, fire/rescue EMS, security protection professionals, faith based organizations, educational institutions, and lay first responders. Upon completion of this training, the students will be empowered as good samaritans to provide aid/self aid in the event of an incident where multiple victims are in need of immediate lifesaving care.

The TECC training presented by Head Hunter Tactical provides the client with education upon the three phases of recognized care in a tactical environment:

Hot Zone/Direct Threat Care that is rendered while under attack or in adverse conditions.
Warm Zone/Indirect Threat Care that is rendered while the threat has been suppressed but may resurface at any point.
Cold Zone/Evacuation Care that is rendered while the casualty is being evacuated from the incident site.

The 16-hour classroom course includes a comprehensive didactic lecture to introduce the core concepts of TECC. Additionally, the HHT training team will provide realistic patient simulations and hands on training labs that covers the following topics:

Pre-incident planning, preparation, mitigation and recovery for before an event may happen.
Hemorrhage control including immediate action drills for tourniquet application throughout the course;
Complete coverage of the MARCH assessment;
Airway control techniques
Strategies for treating and managing victims and first responders in threatening environments;
Tactical evacuation considerations;
Techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety;
Zone pre-staging and identification of aid bags and responder designation.
Tactical and Operational safety procedures
A final, mass-casualty/active shooter event simulation that has been customized for the client’s facility.
